- Engineering: exempt with NAT-IE, NAT-ICS, USAT-E, USAT-CS, or the entry test of UET Lahore, NED, MUET, NUST or ETEA.
- Computing: exempt with NAT-ICS, NAT-IE, NAT-IM, USAT-E, USAT-M or USAT-CS.
- Business and management: SAT 1100 or more, or any of the six NAT or USAT types.
- Exemption scores must be at least 50, match your FSc group, and be from the last one year before AU's closing date.
- Engineering needs at least 33% in the entry test (PEC rule).

- If your result is awaited you get provisional admission, cancelled if you finally score below the minimum.
- Partial pass or compartment results are not accepted, even with enough marks.
- AU does not round up: 59.9% is not 60%.
- O/A-Level and other qualifications need an IBCC equivalence before the semester starts.

How to apply to Air University
- Pick your campus and open its admission portal (Islamabad: portals.au.edu.pk/admissions).
- Fill the form with your academic details and programme preferences. Fill the financial aid form in the same application if you need it.
- Pay the Rs 2,500 processing fee, or add a valid NAT, USAT, SAT or ECAT score for exemption.
- Sit the computer-based test on your scheduled date unless you are exempt.
- Check merit lists on the portal and pay the fee before each list's deadline.

AU charges per credit hour. For Fall 2026 at Islamabad, BS Computer Science is Rs 9,150 per credit hour (Rs 137,250 for a 15 credit hour first semester), engineering Rs 8,050, BBA Rs 7,650 and BS English Rs 5,900, plus Rs 6,000 miscellaneous charges per semester.
How much do I pay at admission to Air University?
For BS Computer Science about Rs 178,250: first semester tuition plus Rs 20,000 admission fee, Rs 5,000 endowment fund, Rs 10,000 refundable security and Rs 6,000 miscellaneous charges.
What is the Air University merit formula?
Engineering: 40% entry test, 50% FSc and 10% Matric. All other undergraduate programmes: 50% entry test, 35% FSc and 15% Matric.
Can I get admission in Air University without its test?
Yes, with a valid exemption: NAT, USAT, SAT (business) or an engineering entry test such as ECAT or NUST, with at least 50 marks, matching your FSc group and taken within the last year.
What is the Air University entry test pattern?
A computer-based test with English 20%, Analytical 25%, Quantitative 15 to 25% and subject knowledge from your FSc group for the rest.
