Our Origins
The StudentPath Story: Why We Built This
Every summer and autumn, more than one million Pakistani students complete their Matric, Intermediate, FSc, or Cambridge A-Levels and step directly into an admissions maze. What should be an inspiring milestone quickly turns into an exhausting ordeal.
Official university portals are often difficult to navigate, out of date, or completely silent about exact merit formulas. Into that vacuum step commercial coaching academies and entry-test centers, charging families 50,000 to 100,000 PKR simply to share basic eligibility rules and market high-margin test prep packages. Unverified WhatsApp group forwards, sensational social media videos, and clickbait blogs multiply the confusion by circulating fake test dates and misleading cut-off estimates.
Deserving students frequently miss crucial deadlines, misunderstand their aggregate formulas, or make blind career choices based on rumor rather than fact.
StudentPath was founded as an independent platform to solve this problem once and for all. We believe that every student in Pakistan, whether applying from Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, Quetta, Gilgit, or a small town in South Punjab, deserves equal access to clean, fact-checked educational data. We do not sell academy courses, we do not lock essential calculators behind paid subscriptions, and we never compromise our data for commercial partnerships.
Institutional Integrity
Editorial & Sourcing Standard
We uphold a strict standard: we do not publish rumors, social media speculation, or unverified secondary blog posts. Every record on StudentPath originates from primary statutory bodies and official university publications:
-
Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC): Competitive Examination (CSS) statutory rules, official syllabi, and age limit criteria published under CE Rules.
-
Higher Education Commission (HEC): The official national register of recognised degree-awarding institutions, university charters, and accreditation decrees.
-
Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PM&DC): National statutory regulations governing MBBS and BDS admissions, MDCAT weighting frameworks, and provincial public sector quota rules.
-
Inter Board Coordination Commission (IBCC): Official equivalence guidelines, conversion formulas for Cambridge O and A-Levels, and national certificate attestation regulations.
-
Official University Gazettes & Academic Prospectuses: Direct publications from university registrars, admission directorates, and academic councils detailing exact department merit formulas, test schedules, and fee schedules.
When a deadline or formula has not yet been formally issued for an upcoming session, we explicitly label it as "Pending" or "To Be Announced" rather than fabricating estimates. For full visibility, inspect our complete Sources Directory or view our transparent Corrections Policy.
