COMSATS Aggregate Calculator
All BS programmes except Architecture and Art & Design: 50% NTS NAT, 40% FSc, 10% Matric.
Last updated · Page editedHow COMSATS calculates your aggregate
COMSATS uses one formula for its BS programmes: 50% NTS test, 40% FSc and 10% Matric. This is the split in COMSATS's own Fall 2026 merit calculator. Architecture and Art & Design use a separate formula with a creative aptitude test and an interview.
FSc and Matric students
Aggregate = (NTS NAT % × 0.5) + (FSc / HSSC % × 0.4) + (Matric / SSC % × 0.1)
- 50% NTS NAT score out of 100.
- 40% FSc. If your result is awaited, COMSATS uses your first-year (Part-I) marks.
- 10% Matric.
O and A-Level students
Aggregate = (NTS NAT % × 0.5) + (A-Level % × 0.4) + (O-Level % × 0.1)
- 50% NTS NAT score.
- 40% A-Level and 10% O-Level, from your IBCC equivalence.
- A-Level result awaited? COMSATS counts your O-Level equivalence for the academic share.
Which marks to enter
- NTS NAT: your score out of 100, from the NAT category that matches your FSc group.
- FSc result awaited: choose "FSc Part-I only" and enter your first-year marks and total.
- O and A Levels: enter your IBCC equivalence marks. No certificate yet? Use the IBCC equivalence calculator.
- A-Levels awaited: choose "A-Levels awaited". Your O-Level percentage stands in for A-Level.
Worked example: COMSATS aggregate for computer science
| Part | Working | Points |
|---|---|---|
| NTS NAT 70 / 100 | 70% × 50% | 35.0000 |
| FSc / HSSC 935 / 1100 | 85% × 40% | 34.0000 |
| Matric / SSC 990 / 1100 | 90% × 10% | 9.0000 |
| COMSATS aggregate | 78.0000% | |
COMSATS ranks applicants separately at each campus, so the same aggregate can win a seat at one campus and fall short at another.
COMSATS closing merit 2026 (official)
COMSATS campuses run their own merit lists. The Lahore campus published closing aggregates for its 2nd merit list of Fall 2026 and said no further lists would follow for most programmes, so these are its final cut-offs. The Islamabad campus publishes merit lists as a search by roll number or CNIC, without closing figures, so we can't show Islamabad numbers.
| Programme | Closing merit |
|---|---|
| BS Computer Science | 85% |
| BS Software Engineering | 82% |
| BS Computer Engineering | 78.01% |
| BS Business Data Analytics | 70.88% |
| BS Electrical Engineering | 67.89% |
| Pharm-D | 67.60% |
| BS Electronics & Computing | 61% |
| BS Statistics (Data Science) | 60.07% |
| BS Accounting & Finance | 57.16% |
Which NTS NAT to take for COMSATS
Your NAT category must match your FSc group: NAT-IE for Pre-Engineering, NAT-IM for Pre-Medical, NAT-ICS for ICS, and NAT-IGS, NAT-ICOM or NAT-IA for other groups. Every Category 1 NAT has 90 MCQs in 120 minutes: English 20, Analytical 20, Quantitative 20 and 30 subject questions.
NTS holds NAT twelve times a year and a result stays valid for one year, so you can sit it before COMSATS opens applications. Engineering programmes also need an NTS score of at least 33% under PEC rules. Read our NTS NAT guide for each category.
COMSATS aggregate for CS, software engineering and engineering
The 50/40/10 formula is the same for computer science, software engineering, engineering, business and the social sciences. What differs is the minimum you need to apply:
- Engineering (Electrical, Computer, Civil, Mechanical, Chemical): 60% in FSc, Pre-Engineering, ICS or relevant DAE, and an NTS score of at least 33%.
- Computing (CS, Software Engineering, AI, Data Science, Cyber Security): 50% in FSc with Mathematics, or Pre-Medical.
- Business and social sciences: 50% in FSc, any group.
- Pharm-D: 60% in FSc Pre-Medical.
NTS NAT strategy for COMSATS
The NTS test carries 50% of your COMSATS aggregate, the same weight as FSc and Matric together.
1. Sit NAT early
NAT runs every month and a result is valid for a year. Take it before the COMSATS deadline so you have time to retake it if needed.
2. Match your category
Register for the NAT that matches your FSc group. A Pre-Medical student applying for computing takes NAT-IM.
3. Apply to more than one campus
Islamabad and Lahore close highest. Add Wah, Attock, Abbottabad, Sahiwal or Vehari as backups where your programme runs.
4. Pre-Medical routes
Pre-medical students can apply for computing programmes, and apply for engineering through a separate pre-medical admission portal.

COMSATS aggregate: common questions
How is the COMSATS aggregate calculated?
COMSATS uses 50% NTS test, 40% FSc and 10% Matric for its BS programmes. Architecture and Art & Design use a separate formula.
What was the COMSATS closing merit for computer science in 2026?
At the Lahore campus, BS Computer Science closed at 85% in the 2nd merit list of Fall 2026, and Software Engineering at 82%. The Islamabad campus doesn't publish closing figures.
Which NTS test do I need for COMSATS?
The NAT that matches your FSc group: NAT-IE for Pre-Engineering, NAT-IM for Pre-Medical and NAT-ICS for ICS.
How long is an NTS NAT result valid?
One year from the test. NTS holds NAT twelve times a year.
Does COMSATS use FSc Part-I marks?
Yes. If your FSc result is awaited, you enter your first-year marks.
How does COMSATS calculate the aggregate for A-Level students?
It uses your IBCC equivalence marks. If your A-Level result is awaited, your O-Level equivalence is counted for the academic share.
Can Pre-Medical students apply for computer science at COMSATS?
Yes. Computing programmes accept Pre-Medical students with at least 50% in FSc. Engineering has a separate pre-medical admission portal.
What is the minimum percentage for COMSATS?
60% in FSc for engineering and Pharm-D, and 50% for computing, business and the social sciences.
