LUMS test requirement: SAT, ACT or LCAT
One test for every school
Business, humanities and social sciences, and science and engineering each need one of the SAT, ACT or LCAT. Law (BA-LL.B) needs one of these plus the HEC Law Admission Test (LAT).
LCAT
Held only once for Fall 2027. Paper based, multiple choice, similar to the SAT: two verbal and two maths sections of 40 minutes each, about three hours in all, and no calculator.
SAT and ACT dates
SAT taken before March 2025 or after 6 March 2027 does not count; nor does an ACT before February 2025 or after 10 April 2027. LUMS uses your best single attempt.
Sending scores
Report every attempt in your application. Official scores must come from the testing agency: SAT code 0513, ACT code 7896.

LUMS does not publish a closing merit or a test cut-off. It reviews your academic record, test score, application and teacher evaluations, and may call you for an interview. There are no quotas. If you qualify for both of your chosen schools, LUMS offers your higher preference.
LUMS merit: what admitted students had
LUMS describes undergraduate admission as highly competitive, with offers to only a small fraction of applicants, plus a small waitlist for a second round. Instead of closing merit, it publishes the profile of its latest intake.
