How NUMS calculates your aggregate

NUMS is the admitting university for the armed forces medical and dental colleges. It runs its own entry test, the NUMS MDCAT, and uses the PMDC split: 50% test, 40% FSc Pre-Medical and 10% Matric. The PMDC MDCAT taken for UHS, KMU or other provinces is a different test and isn't accepted for NUMS colleges.

MBBS and BDS

Aggregate = (NUMS MDCAT % × 0.5) + (FSc / HSSC % × 0.4) + (Matric / SSC % × 0.1)

  • 50% NUMS MDCAT percentage (Paper I plus the psychological test).
  • 40% FSc Pre-Medical (at least 60%).
  • 10% Matric.

O and A-Level students

Aggregate = (NUMS MDCAT % × 0.5) + (A-Level % × 0.4) + (O-Level % × 0.1)

  • 50% NUMS MDCAT.
  • 40% A-Level and 10% O-Level, from your IBCC equivalence.

Which marks to enter

  • NUMS MDCAT: the percentage printed on your NUMS result. The test has two papers with different weights, so counting correct answers won't give your exact score.
  • FSc and Matric: your marks and the totals on your mark sheets.
  • O and A Levels: choose O and A Levels and enter your IBCC equivalence marks.
  • Took the PMDC MDCAT instead? Use the MDCAT calculator for UHS and other provinces, or the KMU calculator for KP.

Matric / SSC 1012 / 110092% × 10%9.2000

PMDC's minimum pass marks are 55% for MBBS and 50% for BDS, and you need at least 60% in FSc Pre-Medical.

What NUMS score do you need for MBBS?

In 2025-26 the affiliated colleges closed between about 84% and 87% on open merit. Use the target aggregate box: enter your FSc and Matric marks and a target such as 86, and the calculator shows the NUMS test percentage you need.

With the test at 50%, each 1% on the NUMS MDCAT adds half a point to your aggregate, the same as 1.25% in FSc.

How NUMS admissions work

NUMS runs its own test and its own central admission, separate from the PMDC MDCAT.

1. Take the NUMS MDCAT

Open-merit seats at NUMS colleges need the NUMS MDCAT 2026 result. Foreign seats can also accept some international tests; check the NUMS notice.

2. Enter your result percentage

The test has 150 subject MCQs and a 50-MCQ psychological test worth 5%. Use the percentage on your result.

3. Clear the minimums

55% for MBBS and 50% for BDS in the test, plus at least 60% in FSc Pre-Medical.

4. Rank your colleges

NUMS places you by merit and preference, then upgrades students in later lists. The 6th list was final in 2025-26.
